Founded in 2016. Designed and crafted by hand in Turin, Italy.
We’ve been married for over twenty years. For most of that time, we’ve worked side by side. Ideas rarely belong to one of us alone. They move between us, change shape, and eventually become something physical — a sketch, a piece of leather, a symbol, a photograph.
La Cortigiana took form in 2016. It wasn’t launched with a grand statement. It grew out of conversations about intimacy, about long relationships, about how power and vulnerability shift over time. We were curious about the quiet signals that exist inside a partnership — details that carry meaning even when no one else notices them.
A small object can alter the atmosphere in a room. Sometimes it only takes a symbol.
The Name
The Renaissance courtesan understood presence. She navigated culture with intelligence and discretion. That reference stayed with us. La Cortigiana speaks to awareness — of one’s role, of choice, of influence — without theatrics.

We are part of this lifestyle ourselves. Long marriages and alternative dynamics demand clarity. They demand trust strong enough to hold tension without fear. Our work grows from that experience. We know how a mark can feel intimate rather than loud, how a detail can be private yet charged.
How We Work
Everything under La Cortigiana is created by us unless clearly stated otherwise. We design, cut, assemble and finish each piece by hand in small batches. When we use rare vintage or antique objects, we restore them carefully and allow their history to remain visible. They become part of a new story without losing the old one.
Before La Cortigiana
Before building this world, we worked in fashion and media. Our projects intersected with houses such as Chanel, Moncler and Cartier, and appeared within editorial spaces like InStyle and Vogue. We organized events, created installations and designed visual environments for brands and private gatherings.
Those years shaped our eye. Proportion matters. Material matters. Silence matters. We learned how to build atmosphere with restraint — and that discipline carries into everything we do now.
Today
We live and work in Turin, Italy. We continue to build La Cortigiana slowly, with intention. It remains a dialogue — between the two of us, and between those who recognize what a symbol can hold.
Unless stated otherwise on a product page, every La Cortigiana piece is designed and produced by us. Rare vintage or antique objects retain their provenance; our role is restoration and transformation, not replacement.
