Paris, ann\u00e9es 1930. Entre les ateliers de Montmartre et la p\u00e9nombre de la ville, une marque \u00e9merge, loin du confort et de la fantaisie. Diana Slip n'est pas seulement une marque de lingerie\u00a0: c'est un langage du d\u00e9sir. Un th\u00e9\u00e2tre o\u00f9 le corps tient le premier r\u00f4le, et o\u00f9 le public ne se contente pas de regarder, il participe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En son centre se trouvait L\u00e9on Vidal<\/strong>, \u00e9diteur, entrepreneur et provocateur, \u00e0 la fois sensible \u00e0 l'esth\u00e9tique et \u00e0 l'app\u00e9tit. Sous sa direction, Slip de Diana<\/em> est devenu plus qu'un nom\u00a0: c'est devenu un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me. En 1936, Vidal avait consolid\u00e9 ses entreprises sous Les Librairies Nouvelles<\/strong>, un r\u00e9seau tentaculaire qui comprenait des librairies, des studios de photographie, des ateliers-boutiques et des catalogues de vente par correspondance \u00e9rotiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais tout a commenc\u00e9 avec la lingerie. Ou plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, avec ce que la lingerie pouvait sugg\u00e9rer<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vidal a compris ce que d'autres n'avaient pas compris\u00a0: le f\u00e9tichisme n'\u00e9tait pas une d\u00e9viance, mais un march\u00e9. Il a d\u00e9pass\u00e9 les artifices grossiers du BDSM des d\u00e9buts (corsets en fer, lourdes cha\u00eenes) et a introduit une vision plus douce et plus \u00e9l\u00e9gante du pouvoir \u00e9rotique. Les cr\u00e9ations de Diana Slip s'adressaient aux femmes qui percevaient le corps comme une monnaie d'\u00e9change et aux hommes qui savaient qu'ils payaient pour bien plus que de la dentelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ses premi\u00e8res et plus fid\u00e8les clientes ? Les femmes des maisons closes parisiennes. Elles connaissaient la valeur d'un corset en cuir capable d'attirer l'attention avant m\u00eame qu'un mot ne soit prononc\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vidal comprenait \u00e9galement le pouvoir de l'image. Il ne se contentait pas de vendre des produits\u00a0: il construisait une mythologie. Il collaborait avec les plus grands photographes de l'\u00e9poque\u00a0: Brassa\u00ef<\/strong>, Jean Moral<\/strong>, Roger Schall<\/strong>Ces hommes, dont les \u0153uvres sont aujourd'hui expos\u00e9es dans des mus\u00e9es, travaillaient dans les ann\u00e9es 1930 pour les catalogues illustr\u00e9s, les cartes postales et les magazines de Diana Slip. Certains le faisaient pour survivre \u00e0 la Grande D\u00e9pression. D'autres, peut-\u00eatre, par fascination pour l'\u00e9rotisme comme force visuelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le chiffre le plus significatif parmi eux est peut-\u00eatre Jacques Charles Biederer<\/strong>, fondateur du l\u00e9gendaire Ostra Studio<\/strong>Photographe juif assassin\u00e9 plus tard \u00e0 Auschwitz, Biederer a laiss\u00e9 derri\u00e8re lui des archives qui \u00e9tonnent toujours\u00a0: des images nettes, pos\u00e9es, d'une \u00e9l\u00e9gance troublante, de soumission, de domination, de rituel et de performance. Ses mod\u00e8les portaient des slips Diana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces \u0153uvres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 vendues \u00e0 Librairie de la Lune<\/strong>, une discr\u00e8te librairie parisienne o\u00f9 \u00e9crivains, collectionneurs et curieux fl\u00e2naient sous le regard de vitrines aux rideaux de velours. Mais la v\u00e9ritable innovation r\u00e9sidait dans distribution<\/em>Les produits Diana Slip pouvaient \u00eatre command\u00e9s par courrier. Une transaction priv\u00e9e, livr\u00e9e sous enveloppe scell\u00e9e \u2013 un avant-go\u00fbt du e-commerce actuel pour l'\u00e9rotisme et les produits de niche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La signature de Diana Slip n'a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 l'innocence. C'\u00e9tait toujours la connaissance. Chaque bride, chaque panneau transparent, chaque paire de cuissardes disait la m\u00eame chose\u00a0: Regardez de plus pr\u00e8s<\/em>Ce n'\u00e9tait pas de la lingerie qui dissimulait. La marque disparut avec la guerre. Comme beaucoup d'exp\u00e9riences culturelles subversives de l'entre-deux-guerres, elle fut ensevelie sous les d\u00e9combres de l'Europe des ann\u00e9es 1940. Vidal sombra dans l'oubli. Les catalogues disparurent dans les coffres des collectionneurs. Mais l'h\u00e9ritage demeure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vous l'avez peut-\u00eatre d\u00e9j\u00e0 vue sans le savoir. Une photo vintage d'une femme en corset, une main sur la hanche, l'autre tenant une cravache. Une certaine cambrure du dos. Un \u00e9clat de cuir. Cela pourrait bien \u00eatre Diana Slip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aujourd'hui, ce nom appartient \u00e0 l'histoire, mais son esth\u00e9tique est \u00e9loquente au pr\u00e9sent. Il ne refl\u00e9tait pas seulement un d\u00e9sir. Il le fa\u00e7onnait. Il lui donnait un langage, un costume, un rituel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et dans ce sens, Diana Slip ne vendait pas seulement de la lingerie.
