A classical form brought into silence.
This plaster sculpture reinterprets David through a restrained intervention, transforming an iconic figure into a quiet, intimate object.
Individually numbered. Limited edition of 100.
This sculptural object is conceived as a quiet intervention into a canonical form.
Cast in plaster, the figure reinterprets David at a reduced scale, shifting the work from monumentality to intimacy. A minimal yet decisive alteration introduces the theme of silence – not as absence, but as a deliberate state.
The sculpture is produced by La Cortigiana as a strictly limited, numbered edition of 100 pieces. Each object is individually cast, hand-finished, and marked with its edition number. Minor variations in surface texture, tone, and detail are inherent to plaster as a material and are considered an integral part of the work, not imperfections.
Its small scale invites close viewing. This is not an object designed to dominate a space, but one intended to exist within personal interiors – on a shelf, desk, or private display — where its meaning unfolds gradually and without instruction.
Once the edition of 100 pieces is completed, production will cease permanently. No reissues, no reproductions, no alternative editions.
