You do not need to organise a model, location or production. Everything is prepared before you arrive.
This is a practical workshop for three photographers, not a lecture and not an open studio day. We prepare the concept, model, wardrobe, rope work, lighting and visual direction. You photograph every set yourself and receive direct guidance while shooting.
Exactly what happens on the day.
Briefing and camera setup
We introduce the concept, explain the boundaries and release, show the lighting plan and help you choose a starting exposure. You should already know how to operate your camera in manual mode.
Portrait and corsetry
The first look is ready when the session begins. Each photographer shoots in rotation while we direct the model and adjust pose, framing and light for individual images.
Rope sequence
The floor-based tie is constructed in stages. You can photograph the preparation, close details and completed positions. There is no suspension. Safety and all physical direction remain with the production team.
Lingerie and artistic nude
The final set focuses on skin, silhouette and rope marks. The precise nudity level and the model’s portfolio are disclosed before you are asked to pay.
How the rotation works: only one photographer directs and takes the principal position at a time. The others may observe, prepare their settings and shoot from secondary positions when permitted. We keep the turns balanced so every participant has dedicated time with the model in all three sets. Short wardrobe, lighting and reset intervals are included within the schedule.

Portrait and corsetry
Editorial portraiture with a corset, lingerie and La Cortigiana accessories. We will work on lighting, posture and details. Each photographer has an individual shooting turn.
Rope and movement
Floor-based rope work without suspension, with slow transitions and positions prepared for photography. We will explore framing, body lines and the tension within the scene.
Lingerie and artistic nude
A final sequence focused on skin, rope marks and details. The nudity level will be confirmed before booking opens and presented together with the model.

Choose your format.
The group price is per photographer. Enthusiasts are welcome, but you must be able to set shutter speed, aperture and ISO independently. Camera equipment, travel, accommodation and retouching are not included.

Before the shoot, you will know what you may photograph and publish.
The programme and nudity level will be confirmed before payment. Model direction and any contact required for the scene are handled by the organisers. Backstage photos and video require specific permission.
The fee includes use of the photographs in your personal portfolio, website and social media within the terms of the release. Advertising, image sales, commercial publication and paid platforms require a separate agreement.

What kind of event is it?
It is a produced, three-hour practical photography workshop for no more than three photographers. The location, model, wardrobe, rope work and lighting are prepared by La Cortigiana. You create your own photographs during balanced shooting turns and receive guidance throughout the session.
Is this a photography workshop or a shibari class?
It is a photography workshop. The rope work is performed for the visual set by the appointed rigger or production team. Participants do not learn tying techniques and must not tie or physically direct the model themselves.
Is artistic nude included?
Yes. The third set includes lingerie and may include artistic nude. The exact level will be shared with the model’s name and portfolio before any payment is requested.
Can I attend if I am not a professional?
Yes. You must be comfortable using manual mode and setting shutter speed, aperture and ISO. Guidance on lighting and image construction is provided during the workshop.
What should I bring?
Bring a camera, lenses, charged batteries and memory cards. Focal lengths between 35 and 85 mm are recommended. Lighting, modifiers and the set are provided.
What do I receive after the workshop?
You leave with the photographs recorded on your own memory cards. Image selection, colour correction and retouching are your responsibility. The fee does not include photographs taken by the organiser, RAW files from another photographer or a post-production service.
Who is the model?
The model is selected according to the final concept and will be presented with a portfolio before booking and payment. If the announced model changes after payment, you will receive the replacement portfolio and the applicable cancellation options before the event.
How do the request and payment work?
The request sent from this page is free and does not reserve a place. You will receive the date, location, model, final programme and terms. To participate, you confirm with a 40% deposit. The balance is due 14 days before the event.
May I publish the photographs?
Yes, in your personal portfolio, website and social media according to the release supplied before the shoot. Commercial use and publication on paid platforms are not included.
When will I receive the location address?
The area and location details are shown before payment. The full address and entry time are sent to confirmed participants.
